John Whitehead Goes On Record

In its October 2005 broadcast, “For the Record,” a weekly public television series produced by WHTJ PBS in Charlottesville, Va., interviewed John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute, about the Institute’s efforts to defend civil liberties and human rights. Host Charlie Sydnor, an internationally-known historian specializing in the history of Nazi Germany, policies of persecution, crimes of the Nazi Regime, and the history of the Holocaust, engaged Whitehead in an in-depth discussion about the USA Patriot Act and the impact of 9/11 on American civil liberties.

Now in its fourteenth season, “For the Record” was created to bring central Virginians thoughtful discussions and first-hand insight into the worlds of politics, public policy and the office of the presidency. “For The Record” is also produced in partnership with the University of Virginia Miller Center of Public Affairs, a research institution dedicated to the compilation of knowledge concerning the American presidency and government policies and communicating this information with the public.
