| Tuesday, October 23, 2007 Lunatic The pot is calling the kettle black. Cal Thomas is a lunatic, deceitful, and when I last read his columns, five or six years ago, they were filled with vitriol. They were so irrational and so enragingly insulting to the opposition that I stopped even reading the headlines. Has he had a "road to Damascus" experience? Has he realized that the Sermon on the Mount is in the Bible? --Greta N. Thursday, October 11, 2007 Aggressive Outstanding! Not quite aggressive enough in refuting such leftist idiocy, but outstanding none-the-less. Best regards, Tom M. Florence, AL Monday, October 01, 2007 Justice I don't agree with you about "Big Brother In The Sky" - your commentary. It seems to me that if more surveillance gives us less of a terrorist threat (which I DO think it can help - subject to human error), more criminal justice, more law and order. I do not believe the average citizen has ANYTHING to fear about being watched in normal situations, typical situations. I want the red-light-runners caught and fined with points on their licenses. I want stricter laws on drunk drivers; I want more convictions of law breakers. If surveillance can help, so be it. The International terrorist scene is a very, very complicated situation. Consider Saudi Arabia, for example. They are supposed to be our friends; we surely want their oil, yet 15 of the 9/11 suicide attackers were Saudis. Saudi Nationals are exporting terrorists to Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Malaysia, Philippines, etc., according to a NEWSMAX.COM article. That is just ONE example of the hate which exists between us and the radical Muslims. I know you have built your career around "freedom", but I suggest you concentrate more on the Spiritual warfare that is going on around the world. The enemy is infiltrating us, the French, Great Britain, the rest of Europe. We are being over-run with illegal aliens. I want MORE surveillance to keep this country and world safe for my children and grandchildren. I am just an average "Joe", and I have no fear that my personal rights will be interfered with by an over-zealous government. I'm on their side: I want them to catch all the bad guys. I know that using the phrase "The enemy is infiltrating us...." sounds like I am paranoid, but I don't think so. The radical enemy is already here (the World Trade Center bombing in '93, of course 9/11, with several others), and they are just going to wait until THEY want to strike next. I think they will actually try a "suitcase nuclear device" as soon as they can get the technology, if they don't already have it. Our very open and free society makes it much, much easier for them!!! --Bruce H. |
