| Tuesday, February 23, 2010 America When General Gage scoffed at Washington being called a general, Washington replied. "You sir despise all authority derived from a source other than your own. I however cannot think of one more honorable than that derived from a brave, free, and noble people. The only fountain of true authority". Government rules from the consent of the people. It's intention is to serve the people. We need to become a brave, free and noble people again. Please keep sounding the alarm. I am, and will never stop as long as there is breath in my being. Is Joe Stack a Wake-Up Call to America? Thank you John, this is some of the most insightful commentary I have seen yet about Joe Stack. I was recently in Texas, I live in Northern California. In Austin, I saw the economic disparities that we have come to accept herein the usa, in a state, Texas, that is economically robust, relatively speaking. I agree that we are the solution, I think we need process, a way to enact change. The energy and even capital is there, we need measures and mechanisms to leverage our power. Keep up the good work, thanks, Jim S. Mr. Rutherford - Thanks for your excellent commentary which goes to the core of the problem while the media has only spouted the government’s usual talking points. Kamikaze attacks are way beyond the pale, but at the same time, for those of us who have half a clue regarding the “state of the State”, his was a noble act in its own way. Joe Stack blew-his-stack and will serve as a “zeitgeist hero” of the times. I wonder if there will be copy-cat attacks? There are thousands of others who are in similar situations, their desperation teetering on the suicidal. Oh, they may even do a TV movie about it – Ha – Lew Rockwell should do one first, giving it the proper treatment. That could be an eye-opener for the sheeple. You opine that we the people and the church should do what the government fails to do – now isn’t that a double-hit on our pockets? I mean, why pay twice for the same services, if you see what I mean…So – what is the answer? A massive tax revolt? With-holding practices at the workplace make this untenable in a very practical way. I believe that it is past time for a national strike in protest of the wars, the IRS, the biggest theft in history represented by the bailouts, et al. Ron Paul 2012? Other than hitting the streets from coast to coast, I just don’t see any effective measures the people can take at this point, especially since the populace is ever so accepting, brainwashed from birth. You know, folks confuse the affluence in the U.S. with freedom – that is a major component of the problem. I was wondering the other night why there isn’t an alternative news show, a libertarian TV channel which would expose all that’s wrong by merely broadcasting truly objective news? How about a libertarian sit-com or a libertarian family show, Father Knows Best where the kids learn the Constitution or a Bonanza where the sons fight off government intrusion and tax agents? If the people could be properly educated or de-programmed, it would become more likely that today’s corruption might be addressed and corrected. And forgive my ramblings here - too much on my mind and no one to vent to. Thanks again for your great piece. Phil S Atlanta, GA I’m listening. Sean B. YOUR RIGHT CONGRES DOEST GIVE A DAMN John C. R. Mr. Whitehead, I just wanted to thank you for this article. I also voiced similar opinions to the 'Joe Stack' incident. I am an earlier version of 'Joe Stack', only, not with his terminal application in addressing the situation. I have tried to accept within myself that all I have done is run away. The choice I made was to remove myself from the social structure, without retreating from the world. Instances such as the one being discussed, lead me to believe I only delude myself. There is a video of my efforts at escapism, titled, ' Totally off the grid', on youtube. I hoped, in the recesses of my being, that maybe I had found an alternative to a fatalistic end. However, with seemingly evermore examples of complete despair exibited by my fellow country men, I find myself again shaken to uncertainty, where thoughts of hope once dwelled. Your article offers me hope, in some nebulous way, that maybe, the great experiment of this concept of unified country, still is alive, in some form or fashion. Thanks to another glimmer of hope, in your article, I will continue to.....keep goin on. Thank you. keith t. Hello John, Thanks for writing ‘Is Joe Stack a Wake-Up Call to America?’ that I read at Lew Rockwell. I found your piece well written and thought out, logical, and methodical. I’ve followed the incident since it occurred, perhaps too much. Most of the articles that I read along with some of online posts by people were just madness. Your piece really helped me to clarify my thoughts and feelings about what happened, how to better understand it, and how to move forward. Wishing you Abundance, Drew C. From what I read, Joe was about as stupid as one man could be. He had really painted himself into a corner with no way out. His marriage was on the rocks. This means financial ruin for just about anyone, regardless of his financial circumstances. That is the way our court system works. And it generally means financial slavery for at least 20 years. His income was based on being a software engineer? I would rather he had put his future in something like being a heating and air conditioning specialist. At least he would have a dependable job. Or get any service related trade. But like an entire generation, college is the answer. Except it does not necessarily produce income. In good times, college educated people are put into lower management positions. In bad times, businesses dump these people by the millions. I am sure there are a lot of Walmart greeters with college degrees that cannot find work right now. I wonder how many people at McDonalds have college degrees? Then there is the IRS. This is America's answer to the KGB. If you want to ruin a man attack his finances. It doesn't even have to be legal. With the enormous resources of a government behind them the IRS has almost unlimited power over all of us. Where is the checks and balances? I am not sure they even exist. Infernal Revenue isn't even an efficient method of taxation. All through the last 50 to 60 years it was the social instrument of choice of the US Congress to encourage money going in whatever direction the US Congress wished. As a result no one really understands what the IRS code actually says. That gives a big leeway to the agency to just about do whatever it pleases. KISS(Keep It Simple Stupid) has never applied to this agency. The only botched job more outrageous is probably the EPA. A writer wanted all of the regulations concerning EPA. He was told he would have to pay for the shipment. Three days later the semitrucks started arriving... There were that many rules. All of them contradicting each other. If you wanted a system that was both fair and efficient(fire most of the accountants involved) I would go from an Income Tax to an Outgoing tax on all goods. Most of the taxes would be on anything imported into this country from the outside. This would make it profitable to produce all the goods locally. You will never see that kind of system in place. Too much power is in the IRS agency and it is probably both illegal and unconstitutional. But when the government has all the justice department pretty much bought off, constitutional law doesn't mean anything. At best you have a kangaroo court system in place that supports the government view. I understand his frustration. It was not worth his life. Rather I think he should have learned how to think like a weasel. A weasel hates work with a passion. Your banks are full of them. Your government is run by them. Suggest they work and they will run not walk for the nearest exit. Anyone who has run into a weasel system knows what I am talking about. Lawyers are weasels. They have set up a system to rip off the public. A title search takes 15 minutes if that in your local county records. They charge upwards of 700 dollars for one. Then require title insurance just in case they didn't do that 15 minutes work right. Any probate is set up to cost many times what the labor involved justifies. They are ripping people off right and left. I cannot count how many other examples these weasels have devised. Banks set up the numbers so if you overdraft, you have hundreds of dollars worth of fees instead of one fee. The fee is usually $30 per overdraft. How? They revise the checks so the biggest one always is cashed first on any one day. Then any small check that goes over produces a $30 dollar fee. So instead of one check overdrafting you might have 10 go bad in one day. This is a weasel system. It is crooked. The bank stacks the cards against the customer. Never mind that the average person spent long hours earning a living and trying to save money! The weasels have got it pegged to get your money and mine without working for it. I am only sorry that Joe wasted his life crashing a plane and burning a house. As a software engineer, I am sure he could have sat down and thought it out. If he could have taken out all the weasels with his software engineering, that might have been worth it. Bonjour Monsieur I am not Américan, i am French, merci mon Dieu. Bertrand Arnould I presume you meant to say, "should not abide this kind of" (?) http://www.huntingtonnews.net/columns/100220-whitehead-columnsjoestack.html like Joe Stack, you seem not to proof read what you have written - or maybe you don't know your grammar as well as you should? just a guess your essay is among the more balanced & reasonble ones I have seen on the subject, but you do not address Joe's double standard - what he wanted (as far as I can see) was the same licence to cheat on his taxes that the rich have, his problem was not that the rich are greedy, it was that he was greedy too, just a thought be well, David W. Dear Mr. Whitehead, Thank you for your piece on Joe Stack. I have read the "facebook" hero and coment pages and see those who share his frustration. I was fired from AT&T in July of 2009 for the lack of "quality" of my work after receiving 30 awards over a five year period. In April, my family and I went to Washington DC to speak with my US Rep Mary Fallin and my two Oklahoma Senators about the fraud perpetrated in the first bank bailout of Oct 3, 2008. I also put a call in to the Department of the Treasury, Tim Geitner's office. My wife spoke at the Department of Health and Human Services and I made a personal visit to the Department of Energy. On a local level, I volunteer as a teacher in my children's school, run media at my church and organize a meet up group for a German Language and culture group. My wife runs a charity for single mothers and she gave birth to our fith child, Max on Feb 10th. I agree with your words and seek to encourage others to not give up the hope that is found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please accept the attached resume in my efforts to find gainful employment in the service of your fine organization and I remain, Cordially yours, Stephen B. W. Hey, where you been....if the churches open without a soup house license, permission to speak only allowed by the 501c plan- Preachers for FEMA leading the flock to the camps reading Romans-get out of line and the knock comes from the some 60 armed ten planks of the communist manifesto government crowd offices. Zoning will get you if you open your home...or serve the flock a chicken sandwich. The problem is Bankers, Politicians, Attorneys and Judges, and Preacher man Praise the Lord and pass the money pie pan . You need to wake up, and read your Bar License Union (closed shop) card over again. The king is calling, take a bow esquire. Sincerely Jeff Mr. Whitehead, great article! I am not an extremist, and I am not one of the "disaffected, disconnected and discontent Americans". I have fairly good financial assets, have a nice home that is not under threat of repossession, and have a reasonably comfortable life. I served in the military, put myself through college, had a successful business career, raised a great family, and have never had trouble with the law. All of that being said, I cannot help myself in believing that Joe Stack is not a terrorist or a criminal. In spite of my upbringing and knowing right from wrong, I view him as a patriot - a hero. Over the last year I now view the government of the United States of America as the ENEMY. It is not so much that we need the government to fix the problems. They cannot or will not do that - they just create more. And, we are rapidly moving towards socialism and loss of individual freedoms. Our "government" is totally corrupt! John Hildahl Great Falls, Montana Mr. Whitehead: Very good message you sent to us all through the Lew Rockwell site that unfortunately only a few will pay attention to. Even folks who claim to be "believers" can't see the forest for the trees. Why is that? Quite simple really: They're as addicted to the idiot box, i.e. television, as the rest of the country, and happy about it. Will this change? Only when the lights go out or chaos reigns will they "get it" and then they're more than likely to want the same sorts of rats who brought us to this dance to somehow pull us all out of the fire of their own creation and steer us to, what I can only sense, is something far far worse. It's a set up from the get go and the truly wise will stay clear until the dust settles or find people of like mind and band together for mutual protection and tell government to "take a hike". Politicians won't change unless they feel threatened, not existentially mind you, or until they collectively acquire room temperature. Would I want this to happen? No. Do I expect it to happen? Absolutely. They're like sharks and have no intention of changing their nature, because, quite naturally, the game has gone on so well up until now. The constant whipsawing lies and misinformation to keep the populace both stupid and poor continues with nary a blink from their lidless reptilian eyes, with yet more surprises to come. Regards, David Mr. Rutherford, I’d like to respond to a few of your comments: 1. I have never seen any evidence that children go hungry in America. When in line at the grocery store I inevitably get behind welfare mothers buying groceries. Their grocery carts are full of expensive prepackaged frozen dinners. Usually they load up on anything that takes no effort to prepare. I have never seen them use any type of grocery coupons to stretch their food stamps purchases. For the most part the mothers are obese and the children look well fed to me. 2. The system as you refer to it, works fine for me. I retired from Government service after 31 years as a DoD contracting officer. Although I get a very handsome pension, I was searching for a replacement career within a week of retiring. I selected the transportation industry and attended a local junior college truck driving program. In this depressed job environment I was swamped with job offers before I even graduated. Since then I now work for three companies on a contract basis. I earn about the same as I did as a GS-13 step 10 when in Government service. I work 7 days a week for 6 weeks straight and then take a month off. On my month off I work part time for a local propane company when one of their drivers is ill or on vacation. My point being, there are plenty of opportunities for people to work if they choose too. If you are sitting on your ass doing nothing it is because you choose too. I am sick to death hearing about how there are no jobs. I could have as many jobs as I want and literally work 24 hours per day. Every time I turn around someone is wanting me to work for them. 3. I agree that a growing number of people live in “poverty.” However, that is mainly because of the following: a. The Government subsidizes bad behavior and laziness through the welfare system. The Government welfare system encourages out of wedlock births in order to qualify for welfare benefits. I guess the progressive liberals never realized that there is a portion of our population that would be satisfied to sit on their collective asses and do nothing with their lives. It just takes a baby to qualify. I have one such person in my family. Never works, just popped out two babies (she isn’t sure who the fathers are) and gets a nice new HUD apartment, food stamps, cable TV, unlimited medical care, and several hundred dollars a month spending money. She dropped out of grade school and never has a job for more than a few weeks before getting fired. She drives a 2002 Mustang, has the latest touch screen cell phone and not a care in the world. I see these people every day on TV telling some nitwit reporter about how miserable they are and how there are no jobs. If you really want to change their circumstances, cut off all welfare benefits and let their families support them. I bet they would find work when then. b. I might point out that I live below the Government poverty line. Although my income is 6 figures, my monthly expenditures to maintain myself are under $13,000 per year. I paid off my house ten years early. I never buy a new car. I always use grocery coupons when food shopping. My point being, I pay attention to stretching my money as far as I can. I live quite well on about 1,000 to 1,200 per month. The rest goes into savings and investments. My family welfare leech actually makes about the same and can’t make ends meet. It’s not that she doesn’t have money, it’s the spending choices she makes. 4. I would not have chosen Mr. Stack’s method of expressing his displeasure with the Government, but I understand his frustration. I despise our rulers. The Government does absolutely nothing to benefit me yet attempts to take more of my earnings at every turn. I disagree with Mr. Stack’s selection of his victims. The Government doesn’t care how many people you kill as long as it isn’t one of our ruling class. Mr. Stack would have gotten a lot more mileage out of his act had he crashed his plane into his local congressman or senator’s office or home (preferably while they were in residence). Sincerely, Stephen S Dear John, I'm in the process of reading Joe Stack's letter so cannot comment on that. However, I'd have to say since the beginning of this century I've become increasingly aware that each person individually must wake up and begin in small ways to become self-sufficient and teach others to do the same, more by example than anything else. Watching 9/11 unfold LIVE on television my first thought was, "You bastards........you're destroying our country; nothing will ever be the same." (Much the same thought I had when JFK was assassinated). I did NOT think about terrorists, nor a possible war, or the eroding away of our civil liberties but I did sense that government had failed us big time. Little did anyone know just how bad it was going to get. A year later my husband decided to leave the rat race and retired. We purchased a small rancher in South central Pennsylvania on 5 rural acres, paying cash so we'd have no mortgage. My husband and I have other savings and can only hope this will be enough as Social Security erodes away. We're in our early 70's and feel staying healthy and fit and relatively self-sufficient is our best protection against "old age." We also own outright a small home nearby that our high functioning autistic son rents from us. He is on disability and food stamps and manages pretty well. However, I see the possibility of this coming to an end down the road as government falls apart. He is growing some of his own food which helps him and he's free of any prescription meds preferring natural remedies. We encourage him to be as self-sufficient as possible. He is an artist and craftsman and has sold some things online to "supplement" his income. We also have a special needs trust set up as well as having all of our property in trust. We live comfortably, if frugally, though we have a good retirement income. We both collect social security. However, as government continues to erode we believe the likelihood of that ending is approaching. I put mine in the trust for our son for now. My husband and I have a summer garden that feeds us pretty well for about 5 months. We plan to expand it , canning more veggies as well as have a root cellar for wintering over squashes, apples, potatoes. Any surplus we give to local soup kitchen which we support monthly with a monetary donation. We buy all local things, including grass-fed beef, local chickens and eggs. And we are committed to eating healthy, being prescription drug free by finding natural ways to be healthy.........we walk, do weight-lifting in our basement, have no need for fancy memberships in anything. We live a pretty simple life and love it. Most of our entertainment is free or cheap. Been hooking up with other people in my area who are also committed to taking care of business at the local level. I've bookmarked The Rutherford Institute website and will continue following that as well as Lew Rockwell. Learning a lot these days and looking at ways I can become more involved with change or is it moving toward revolution? At a gut level I fear a civil war coming on, perhaps within the next 5 years. Also worry that there's going to be yet another "Pearl Harbor" or "9/11" in the near future. Just wanted you to know that I'm one of the more "well-off" retirees who isn't ready to settle for the status quo. I consider myself becoming a true patriot and probably going to be raising a bit of hell in my little corner of the world. Little by little people are waking up, John. When enough do, it will be like the 100th monkey syndrome. Regards, Carol D. Spring Grove, PA Hi John, I'm listening, and there are millions just like me that believe the politicians in both parties will destroy us and the American way of life. I too was surprised at how the media responded to Joe Stack. I sent his manifesto out to a lot of people and one lady sent back an email saying he was crazy. I asked her if that was she got out of the story and she said well the politicians are screwing us but what we can do. Some how we have got to convince people that there is a choice and that is to kick all the bastards out and start over. Your story is a good start don't stop writing. Thanks again, Darrel K. Paxico Kansas Greetings! I saw your essay at LRC.com. I don't argue your views about what the US has become, nor about the frustrations of many of us. But after reading Joe Stack's manifesto, I gotta say that the boy sure brought his troubles onto himself from his own lack of understanding of the realities which have been part and parcel of this country for quite a few decades, now. From his writing, there appears to have been little or no instance of objective thought or planning before his making some leap into a "whole new world". However, I don't see him as being unique. I fully expect to see parallel examples in the coming weeks and months. May not be as dramatic, but certainly likely to occur. Regards, Art E. Terlingua, Texas Dear Mr. Whitehead, I read your article "Is Joe Stack a wake-up call to America". I enjoyed reading it as it made me feel there are others out there who see things the way I do, however I do not believe there are enough of us listening to prevent the collapse of this once great nation. The sad thing is our system of education has been so poor for so long that we have produced a generation of citizens that live day to day without any sense that the world around them is a big lie. I realized back in the mid '90's that something was amiss. I was about thirty years of age at the time and worked on an equity trading desk. It became very obvious to me that nothing was really as it seemed in the world and especially in the financial world. I began a quest to try and understand what it was I felt but still could not but my finger on. At the time I was a very patriotic American who believed in authority whether it was a religious, government or private institution. I still had the belief that these institutions existed for the betterment of society as a whole and were for the most part honest in there undertakings. That belief would soon be crushed. What I discovered through much research is too long for this email and I am sure it would not be news or any surprise to you. I am writing because I wanted you to know I agree with all you wrote in your article but I have come to the conclusion it is too late for America. We as citizens have allowed our nation to be stolen from within just as many of our founding fathers had warned us it would be done. They have kept us busy and distracted trying to make ends meet while watching mindless events like OJ, Britney and now Tiger. They confused us with slick talking and promises they could never keep. They made it seem like you needed a PhD to understand finance when really all you need is a bit of common sense. They convinced us they were smarter and we should let them run things. We now find ourselves broke, in debt which is mathematically impossible to pay off, unskilled, uneducated and worst of all an immoral society that cares little about others. We are the Roman Empire on steroids. Capitalism has not existed in this nation for decades. We call it that to keep the illusion but it is not. Our system is a joint venture between government and large corporations, "fascism" is a better description. What could not be accomplished with arms they accomplished by infiltrating our institutions and changing laws while controlling the masses through the media. Hitler and Mussolini would be very proud of our ruling class. As a currency trader I have held many seminars over the years. I have told my clients that the wealth they think they have is nothing more than an illusion and that one day it will be taken away. For some, that day came back in 2008. For the rest of us it is merely a short time in the future. Our financial system has been DEAD since 2008. We are pumping counterfeit money ( which is really debt not money) into it to give the appearance it is still functioning. It is like pumping good blood into a corpse that has been lying in the street for weeks. That corpse is not coming back to life and neither is our financial system. The sooner it totally collapses the better it will be for the masses. That will be the wake up call which will result in a real and lasting change. Until that day we will continue down the road of being serfs to the ruling class and suffer while they party at our expense both financially and psychologically. But that day is coming quickly and they know it. Best Regards, Mike D Poughkeepsie, NY "I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed in their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is 'needed' before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents' interests, I shall reply that I was informed their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can." - Barry Goldwater, The Conscience of a Conservative. "I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.""And now that the legislators and do gooders have futilely inflicted so many systems upon society, may they finally end where they should have begun: May they reject all systems. And try liberty" Frederic Bastiat, 1850"Proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land unto all the inhabitants Thereof" --- Leviticus 25:10"Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito", Latin, which translated means "do not give in to evil but proceed ever more boldly against it." -- Publius Vergilius Maro (Virgil) "It does not take a majority to prevail...but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." Samuel Adams"The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was every invented. Banking was conceived in inequity and born in sin . Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them but leave them the power to create money, and with a flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again . Take this great power away from them and all great fortunes like mine will disappear, for then this would be a better and happier world to live in . But if you want to continue to be the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let bankers continue to create money and control credit." Josiah Stamp, Pres: Bank of England, Britain's 2nd richest man, l927 (Search Billions for the Bankers)"The depression was the calculated 'shearing' of the public by the World Money powers, triggered by the planned sudden shortage of supply of call money in the New York money market....The One World Government leaders and their ever close bankers have now acquired full control of the money and credit machinery of the U.S. via the creation of the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank." Curtis Dall, FDR's son-in-law as quoted in his book, My Exploited Father-in-Law. http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin491.htm "Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life". --- John F. Kennedy James Madison, father of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, instructed: "We are right to take alarm at the first experiment upon our liberties," and elaborated, "I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." Dear Mr. Whitehead, I recently read an article you penned about Joe Stack being a wake-up call to the establishment. One of the things Mr. Stack said before he ended his life and which you quote in your article is, "In my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind. Nor, for that matter, are they the least bit interested in me or anything I have to say." I have a solution for this problem. A very simple solution. A solution that if more freedom loving Americans were to pursue, would devastate the government's ability to hold us underneath the heel of oppression. A PERFECT solution for much that ails us. And that solution is: Become a cop. Become an FBI Agent. Become a Secret Service Agent. Become a member of the BATF. Become a US Marshall. Become an IRS Agent. The cool thing about being a cop is that you get to determine which laws get enforced and which ones don't. A power called "officer discretion." If you are smart enough to pen a piece as erudite as the one I just read, I'm sure your mind is churning right now with the ramifications of what I have just said. If Joe stack really wanted to get back at the system, he could have become a cop. In doing so, the government would have spent thousands of dollars training him. Along the way, in addition to being the recipient of some fabulous training, he would have learned the identities and addresses of all of his co-workers and the management of the police department. Once turned loose as a fully fledged patrol officer, he could have then chosen not to enforce any of the laws that he disagreed with. Additionally, he would have displaced one other potential candidate from becoming an officer that would probably have enforced the laws the way too many cops do: strictly. As he worked within the law enforcement community, he could have found out the career path he would need to eventually lead him to a job with the IRS. Imagine how much more he could have accomplished as an employee of the IRS than he could as a victim of the IRS. One of the things that cops know is the names and, as importantly, the addresses of all of the important people in their jurisdiction. Imagine how useful that information would be if a freedom-loving cop were to later engage in civil disobedience. Another thing that cops know is how to commit civil disobedience i.e. crime in a very covert way for the skills of a cop and the skills of a criminal are very similar. Right now those that love freedom seem to hold law enforcement in contempt. What they should do is become law enforcement. Either those that love-freedom will enforcing the laws or those that are indifferent will. If you want to advance the cause of freedom, one way would be to pass this information along to those within your circle of influence. Sincerely, George C Wednesday, February 17, 2010 Why Palin? In your explanation as to why the Christian right loves Sarah Palin I was very surprised by your dismissive attitude toward Pentecostals. I attend a Pentecostal church that is very sound in doctrine. Actually I have attended 3 Pentecostal churchs in my lifetime I am 58 years old and none of them teach or want people to suffer so that Jesus will come back. I have never heard the doctrine of the second coming of Christ taught in that way, ever. I do want to submit a few ideas for your consideration, I know that you are very intelligent and highly respected so bear with me as I put these thoughts into what I hope is a understandable form. In the Old Teatament God was very involved in politics He sent messages to kings often either through dreams, prophets or however he chose. I am convinced that a God who does not change is still at work in our world today in the area of government. I believe that you yourself are defending the body of Christ against unjust and unfair prejudice. Jesus has said that believers are to love one another and that is the way that the people around us will know that we are His diciples. I do not agree with every Christian denominations doctrine but none of us have it 100% correct if we did there would not be denominations. Unity in the Spirit is imperative and when we fight and render each other ineffective we are hurting the cause of Christ. It is difficult at times but we must always remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Thank you for your time, Elaine M. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 Raising Hell—Isn’t That What Patriots Do? john, nicely said. i enjoy your columns and appreciate your views, agree with the lion's share of what you say. my question is this ... were you always this vocal about such things as the patriotism you describe in this latest piece? even during the bush administration? during that time i found it very difficult to even have a chance to say or write similar views without meeting some degree of resistance, and often, just plain censorship. matter of fact, i would be as bold as to say that any of those techniques that were prevalent then are still in play today. best, Hey, for your information we are a REPUBLIC, NOT a "democracy". Where the hell do you get your information?Don't be discouraged . . . we've been fighting this battle for almost 50 years. The first time we heard you speak was in a little Presbyterian Church in Spring, TX. You had written a book, End of Man. Only now do I understand the full implication of that book. God Bless, Rebekah Something's wrong with your site & editorials. They don't quite make sense. It seems your trying to act like a patriot, yet you spew communist philosophy. Or, dare I say?... anti-American! So Joe Stack was angry about the same things as, say, oh, I don't know, Jesse Jackson? .....I don't think so. I'll try out a few more articles then move on....... Virginians Should Say No to Expanding Death Penalty A death penalty should always be on the books and applicable to serial killers, planned murder, armed robbery murder. child and rape murder. It is wrong to create exorbitant costs for obtaining an execution. Blame rests on lawyers not the public. I doubt that even John Whitehead will address the problem. A terrible debt is placed on society for the profit of lawyers on both sides of the issue, Tough enough for society to provide food, board, health care and other facilities for the guilty of lesser crimes. The steady flow of over two million within the jail system, represents a small portion of the criminal activity. Do we have the wisdom to handle crime? Do your research, dude. Executing them within six weeks of conviction is very quick and frugal. There is no such thing as race. No true Africans exist anymore. They are mostly white. There are criminals and if their lawyers are restircted to doing nothing but working on innocence for those six weeks, then the cases should be closed if the lawyers can't find substantial evidence of innocence. Execution should be public hangings on the courthouse lawn at high noon and the criminal should swing in the breeze until sunset. Go read your Old Testament for guidance. Mr. Whitehead, Interesting perspective. Comment and questions. I would like to offer one possible reason why states with a death penalty seem to have more crime, and it is based on auto theft in Eugene. We lack the means to prosecute any property crimes under $750. Because this was well known, property crimes in that category soared. When my car was stolen, the police officer said that you have to steal 5 cars in a one year period before you will spend even one single night in jail. This is the fall out of underfunding. The police and district attorney aired all of this in the newspaper and news, so every criminal knew this. Bammo, up went crime like a skyrocket. Perhaps in states with death penalties, the fact that lawsuits make a mockery of it and people are seldom executed, maybe it leads them to believe there is no real penalty (and they forget about life in prison, but maybe they think that anything short of the death penalty means parole is possible). In states without the death penalty, they probably are more familiar with life in prison without the possibility of parole and so are influenced that way. That's just one aspect. The Bible makes clear that when punishment is swift it brings terror to evil doers. The death penalty, as it is mired in current legal cases that go on a long time, is not swift. However, how do you come down on a man being killed when they have killed others on a moral ground? In other words, "If a man sheds another man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed" from the O.T.? I'll understand the practicality aspects coming in but how do you stand on the principle? For instance, do you support a Saddam Hussein being executed? And you do feel it is immoral, do you not, to ask victims of crimes to then pay to house and feed a murderer for a life time in addition to having lost their loved ones in often violent rapes and deaths? Thanks for the dialogue. Bill N. , Eugene Oregon I agree the death penalty should not be expanded as you describe. However, your cost argument is flawed. It overlooks the fact that the threat of the death penalty is a valuable tool for law enforcement, one which results in guilty pleas in a large number of cases such that no trial expenses are required at all for such cases – savings not included in the typical cost study. It also frequently results in early resolution of cases/investigation, resulting in further savings. Finally, the threat of the death penalty often helps the victim’s families reach closure in a number of ways: in getting cases resolved (guilty pleas), in getting them resolved faster, in getting resolution without the trauma of trial for the family, and often in bargaining for location of the victim’s remains. As to the alternative of life sentences, I am beginning to worry about whether government can be relied upon to securely house a large number of hardened murderers, serial killers, and “Hannibal” types for the long term, given the budget crises of state governments as you describe, the growing threats of government corruption, terrorists, organized crime (see Mexico, Sicily, Middle East) and natural disasters (Haiti). If you don’t think serial killers can escape to kill many more, think on Ted Bundy. I send this in hope that Mr Whitehead will get it. I read his article in my local paper against the death penalty. While he makes good points there are two things I would like for him to consider. One is Jesse James Cowans. He is on death row in Ohio. He is the best argument for the death penalty I know. He served 18 years in the Ohio penal system for his first murder. Had he been executed for the first murder, his second victim would be alive. He killed her 3-4 months after his parole. I did court paperwork at the Clermont Co Jail for the last 11 years that I worked there. From my experience, there is virtually no such thing as a life sentence. Nearly all murderers get out eventually. No executed murderer has ever killed again. That is the only deterrence that matters. To give you a perspective on Cowans, he commited armed robbery at the age of 8. Not a typo-eight years old. His first murder was commited at the age of 16. I worked in the blocks with him. He is dead inside. You can read all about him in the Cincinnati Enquirer's archives on the web. My second point is that I don't believe you are being fair to murder victim's families. They are entitled to have the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one's killer is dead. It is blatently unfair for these people to be alive while their victims are dead. As to cost-use all of my tax dollars that are necessary to execute all of them. Rich B. Fayetteville, OH Streator, IL Voice- Local Newspaper I read your work in the Streator, IL Voice our local newspaper. I find your logic accurate and precise. There seem to me to be two problems facing America, among many others. One is, the constitution states that "the people must and shall act only through their elected representatives." If, no matter how important the issue, the elected choose not to act on their behalf then "the people" are legally out of luck. Secondly the real danger is that the under 30's have no idea of history and could care less about the future. As a people we are salved over with mindless diversions thanks to television and movies and sports. We aren't taking care of our business and when you don't do that somebody else will take care of it for you. Starting 40 years ago we started the process of taking our manufacturing jobs out of the country very slowly. Today we don't have the jobs to pay for imports and what's worse we don't have the resources to finance the government. Things are only going to get worse. Thanks for your time. Sincerely, David Z Thursday, February 11, 2010 The Day the Music Died What you say about Buddy Holly is true enough. But in the long run, rock and roll is a music of revolution where the beat is much more important than melody or lyrics, thus stirring the passions more than the mind or soul to no good purpose. I suppose you will tell me that the US Constitution guarantees the right to express oneself and to lose control of one's passions, but these are exactly the "rights" that are an expression of license rather than freedom. The one who encourages persons to lose control of their passions and has the means to do so is the one who will ultimately control the society. America is the best example of that today where most citizens have become the slave to the government that constantly promises what it cannot deliver. Look at what happens to most rock and roll heroes. They live briefly, then spiritually die, then die for good. (Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Mama Cass just to name a few.) Rock and roll has done far more to hurt our society than help it. The day that the music died is the day rock and roll came into this world. May Buddy Holly rest in peace and may his records gather dust! Are You Brainwashed? Seven Principles for Free Government Very good summary. Interesting reference: The 1780 Massachusetts Bill of Rights, Section XXX is a provision that should have been included in the US Bill of Rights, or the Constitution itelf--to the effect that each of the three "branchs" of government must respect the powers and responsibilities of the other two. I can't give you the text right now, but it is brief and is found in some records as backup for the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. It should be implied as part of the Constitution, and I have called it to the attention of the US Supreme Court. John M. Hi John. I enjoyed reading this article. I too write quite a bit about similar things and I thought your article was very good. I have come to the conclusion that Congress is failing because it’s infrastructure is broken. I advocate 1 6 year staggered term limit for both the house & senate. Two articles I wrote you might be interested in: How To Fix a Failing Congress The Theft of the American Dream Here’s the link if you care: http://blog.richhabits.net Take care Tom Tuesday, February 02, 2010 Stolen Valor Sirs, The Stolen Valor Act was written to prevent unseemly characters from claiming valor where it does not exist thus diminishing, and yes “hurting”, those who truly earned their rightful place in history. You contention that, “There is nothing more sacred than the right to speech in America” is false. There is nothing more sacred than the blood of the brave men and women who defend our right to free speech. Speech is NOTHING without man, man is the vehicle by which it is defined and defended. The two are NOT mutually exclusive and any attempt to sever is misguided. The idea that a group who prides itself as a defender of free speech would NOT defend the “harming” of the ULTIMATE and only LEGITIMATE defenders of free speech is mystifying. V/R Ricky D. Monday, February 01, 2010 The State of the Nation: I am afraid I just read you article on the state of the nation. You have aarticulated my very worst fears. I am a mother, working part-time in a tiny town in Tennessee. What can I do? I've been saying some of the same things for years. Some people say I'm paranoid. I believe I'm watchful.. Our government, if that is what we should call it, it totally out of control. The only thing I want them to do is keep out country safe. Period. Stay out of everything else. And Obama paying tribute to the muslims, honestly. The man should be thrown in jail for treason. Again, please let me know what I can do. Sincerely, Chris V. Pulaski, TN Hi John,Well put sir. It has not taken the masters of finance and discourse long to dismantle America. There has been betrayal in your country (and mine, the UK) that has been brilliantly enacted via staggering dissimilation. The culprits must be named and their ideology exposed. The Judeo-masonic hierarchy are the masters of this discourse. They hate Christianity and regard any persons outside their religion (for masonry is a religion too) as 'cattle' who can be casually used and abused as they think fit in the puruance of their agenda. I'm at work . Must go. Kevin Mr Whitehead, I appreciate your article, "The State of the Nation: I Am Afraid". It is an insightful wake-up call to the ominous signs of the times. Mark L. Dear Bro. Whitehead, Thank you for your recent commentary about the condition of our country. It is sad indeed to witness the destruction of this great country. Of course, you and I know that what is happening to this once great Republic is due to our having turned our backs on God. Concerning your observation that the world is turning into "an electronic concentration camp", I too have been warning Christians about this system of control that is being put in place. Thank you for your work in our Lord's kingdom. Glenn G. Thanks for the article. I am 51 and have been hammered by the economy for the last two years. I wasn't over extended and have basically survived the onslaught so far, but I and my family have been hit hard. Your view is practically the only view that I see as having any chance at putting a wedge into the plans that they are establishing. Due to these circumstances, it seems that I'm not able to participate as much as I deem is necessary in the efforts against the turning of this once great country into a plutocracy. I find myself wondering if there is something that I might do along the lines of combating what you have identified in your column? Is there some way I might help your team? I have developed a rudimentary understanding of Constitutional Law and would like to contribute, I am continuing my education in the IT realm at a community college and enjoy that endeavor but wonder, am I just allowing this all to happen when there is some small fight that I might engage in that would profit the country and increase the odds of overturning this vile effort to "communitize" our world? Regards, Larry W. John, The only things we have to fear, besides fear itself, is stupidity and taking ineffective action. Two ants are sitting on an elephant's trunk, arguing over whether the beast is a giant worm, or a giant snake. Obviously they will never resolve the issue until they step back and see the big picture. But how can we see the big picture when we are lied to by are political, social, economic, military, academic, and media institutions. Through government subversion, in 1912 the Federal Reserve Act was passed, which gave the subversive elites the power to print money to place in their banks and investment houses to acquire our resources, and free enterprise system. We gave the elite Illuminati banksters:a blank check, backed up with our good faith and credit, and · the power to create and finance both sides of global wars, · to expand their influence with our foreign aid to promote their industries, and · we gave them the power to commit illegal acts in complete secrecy with the National Security Act that was passed in 1947. We gave them the power to create a global totalitarian dictatorship which they are creating inside our government. They control our political, justice, military and intelligence organizations. And we watch quietly, while they build concentration camps for us, pass laws to declare marshal law and suspend our constitution, and invest over $13 trillion to build more than 4,000 underground installations that are massive in size, where they are developing technologies that are out of this world, quite literally. They strip us of our wealth by manipulating the markets, currencies, and global criminal organizations and operating with the protection of our own government. One might ask what common elements, besides wealth and power, binds these elites together. It is their genetics which they perceive as superior to our own and has extraterrestrial origins. That is why they are called “blue bloods.” There are 13 “superior” bloodlines that became the leaders of the new world because of their unique powers, blood, privilege, and opportunity to rule. They created secret societies to contain their knowledge and hide their power. And together they grew in strength. And today, their descendents control over 75% of the world’s wealth. Their agenda is to create a one world fascist new world order. And once that is in place the elites will be in total control of humanity on Earth to do as they wish. They know society is not going to agree to this, so they utilize a dialectic process out of which order evolves from their plans for global chaos. They create global crises with solutions ready to implement. The people accept it, like they did the League of Nations, the United Nations, the National Security Act, the Federal Reserve Act, the Patriot Act, and the Cap and Trade legislation. The history of this planet is replete with purpose directed conflicts that have brought this world to its present state of chaos. And now the Illuminati families behind this chaos, have created a one world structure under their control; that includes the World Bank, IMF, BIS, UN, and hundreds of other globalist organizations and foundations, each focused on their myopic purpose, but clueless to a bigger agenda that is held by very few. With each passing year, humanity agrees to the laws and programs made readily available after every war and crisis, and cleverly humanity marches itself closer to the intended fascist prison-state agenda. When will we learn? When will we wake up? When will we fight the right enemy of the people, instead of fighting amongst ourselves? We will wake up when we define the right context and reality in which we are living, and it is time that our political leaders, scientists, and academics accept the responsibility for being more truthful about the information that they have. Only the truth will set us free. Recently, Benjamin Fulford, a former bureau chief for Forbes Magazine in Japan, has come forward to reveal deep splits within the global power structures that control international finance, religious institutions and geo-politics. Fulford argues that these splits have grown so severe that unless a covert policy for significant global depopulation through contrived means is immediately abandoned, that there will be harsh consequences for those seeking to implement such a policy. Fulford has publicly taken on the role of spokesperson for what he claims are Chinese secret societies opposed to global depopulation policies that specifically target the Asian population. He has recently come out with public warnings on behalf of these secret societies on a popular radio show where he was interviewed on July 5 (see: http://rense.com/general77/ Fulford's claims and warnings, to supporters of a covert global depopulation program, are so startling that they could easily be dismissed as wild conjecture and neurotic conspiracy theory. There are however a number of reasons why his claims should not be simply dismissed and be considered on their merits. First, the quality of Fulford's journalistic investigations and professional background do not indicate he is someone prone to exaggeration and making unsubstantiated claims. Many of his articles with Forbes Magazine were and continue to be essential reading for Western businessmen desiring to invest or conduct business in Japan. Second, he has interviewed people in very senior positions in Japan over the last decade including seven Prime Ministers, captains of industry, security police and leading figures in the Japanese underworld. So he does have access to the shadowy underworld figures he claims have approached him to take on the issue of a covert global depopulation program. Finally, while a Canadian by nationality, Fulford has spent 20 years studying and working in Japan, speaks the Japanese language fluently, and understands Japanese culture and public policy making process very well. He therefore qualifies as a westerner very sympathetic to Asian values and could act as a spokesperson for a powerful organization with deeply embedded networks in Japanese society. All this suggests that Fulford's claims need to be considered on their merits. Fulford traces the origins of the powerful elites responsible for the alleged covert global depopulation program to the leading banking families in Europe and North America. Due to their historical association with Freemasonry, he refers to these elite banking families as comprising the modern day 'Illuminati' whose history can be traced all the way back to ancient Babylon (see: http://rense.com/general77/ Fulford argues that a faction of the Illuminati centered around the Rockefeller family is intent on a radical global depopulation plan through a contrived war on terror. So far the Rockefellers demolished the WTO, conceived the Patriot Act, and lobbied for and expanded the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Most significantly from an exopolitical perspective, Fulford claims that there is an attempt to produce a global Armageddon with a contrived extraterrestrial enemy that will wipe out a significant proportion of humanity. (The International Community for Alien Research reports that over 1 billion have been abducted who may be activated to support the global Armageddon strategy in some way. 2010 could be the year that disclosure occurs.) According to Fulford, this would leave survivors so traumatized that they would be easily manipulated by the Illuminati. A number of whistleblowers including the late Werner Von Braun have argued that a covert plan exists to fabricate an extraterrestrial enemy to justify a new global war (see: http://www.illuminati-news. Fulford claims that it was his investigation into artificially created pandemics that targeted Asians in a covert effort to reduce their overall population to 500 million that triggered the attention of Chinese secret societies. He claims that the SARS virus and the avian flu virus (H5N1) are the first in a series of artificially created viruses that specifically target the Asian genome. Disturbed by the possibility that a covert global depopulation policy that targeted Asians was underway, secret Chinese societies based in Taiwan contacted Fulford to offer him their protection and recruited him to be their spokesperson. Fulford contends that the effort to reduce the Asian population is a result of deeply entrenched racism and cultural chauvinism among Illuminati members who historically are centered in Europe and North America. Assuming that Fulford is correct that a depopulation program targeted at Asians is underway, it is worth exploring a number of exopolitical factors for why such a policy might have been implemented by Illuminati members, and the role of the Rockefeller family in such a policy. First, the covert policy allegedly aims to reduce the current population of Asia from approximately 3.7 billion (over 56% of the global population) to 500 million people. One of the major reasons why new energy technologies and extraterrestrial disclosure have not occurred is that this would level the geo-political playing field very quickly. Cheap inexpensive energy that could be produced in-house would rapidly transform major population centers like China (1.3 billion) and India (1.1 billion). These and other Asian nations that currently struggle to feed and provide jobs for all citizens, would be transformed into flourishing financial powerhouses where their citizenry's full productive capacities could be utilized. Such a development would transform the way global financial structures are dominated from capital intensive industries in North America/Europe to information intensive industries in China/India, etc. Second, not only would there be an erosion of Illuminati power and prestige due to its loss of control over global financial institutions, but there would also be widespread diffusion of technological capacities. This would significantly erode U.S. hegemony in the research and development of advanced technologies. This is especially important when it comes to the secret reverse engineering of extraterrestrial technologies which is dominated by the US military industrial complex. The Illuminati provide significant financial resources and global networks to ensure that the US gets the lion's share of extraterrestrial technologies recovered worldwide and secretly relocated to the US. Much of this is achieved by maintaining present global dependence on fossil fuel consumption, and preventing alternative energy sources being developed. Third, there is the possibility that a staged extraterrestrial invasion can be conducted to deceive the global population into surrendering civil liberties and political rights. This would enable the passage of draconian national security laws which would monitor and control the behavior and thoughts of the global citizenry. The development of a global national security system would ensure the control of elites who might fear that the official disclosure of extraterrestrial life would lead to a loss of governmental and covert Illuminati control over the global population. The collapse of governmental authority was an important factor cited by the 1960 Brookings Institute Report into the consequences of the general public learning of the existence of extraterrestrial life (see: http://www.enterprisemission. Fourth, the role played by the Rockefeller family in the development of US policies concerning extraterrestrial technologies and life cannot be underestimated. It was the intervention of both Nelson and David Rockefellers that was critical in persuading President Dwight Eisenhower to relinquish direct executive presidential control over extraterrestrial related projects. A corporatized military structure that was run by an appointed committee, Majestic-12 Special Studies Group, which was outside the normal governmental oversight process, was instead created. The Rockefellers were able to ensure that through their control of organizations such as the Council of Foreign Relations and key personnel such as Dr Henry Kissinger, that they would play a substantial role in directing covert policies on extraterrestrial affairs (see: http://exopolitics.org/Study- Most importantly, the Rockefellers have been the leading proponents of a global secrecy program concerning extraterrestrial life with the exception of a few family members such as Laurence Rockefeller (see: http://www.presidentialufo. Nevertheless, his work for Forbes Magazine gave him privileged access with key figures and forces in the Japanese economy which almost certainly included the Japanese underworld. This makes it very plausible that he is familiar with and could have been easily approached by Chinese secret societies as he claims. Significantly an Australian expert in reverse speech analysis tested Fulford's speech patterns during his July 5 radio interview and concluded that he was not lying and that the reverse speech patterns are congruent with his claims (see: http://www.reversespeech.com/ Perhaps most credence for Fulford's claims come from the revelations of filmmaker Aaron Russo who claims to have befriended a leading member of the Rockefeller family, Nick Rockefeller. According to Russo, Rockefeller admitted that 911 was in inside job, that the war on terror was contrived to convince the global population to submit to draconian national security laws such as microchipping, that leading banking families intended to maintain strict control, and that a depopulation program to cull the global population by at least 50% was underway (see: http://www.prisonplanet.com/ While investigations have just begun to determine the accuracy of Fulford's radical claims, the exopolitical implications of a struggle between Asian and North American/European secret societies can be expected to be very significant. If Fulford is accurate in his main claim concerning the determination and ability of Chinese secret societies to target banking elites involved in a global depopulation policy, then it becomes clear Asian secret societies can severely disrupt any contrived global depopulation program by the North American branch of the Illuminati. This would ensure that in a post-disclosure world the full productive capacities of China and other Asian nations would not be significantly diminished. The frustration of plans to covertly depopulate strategic regions of the planet such as Asia, would inevitably lead to a major realignment of financial and political power on the planet. More significantly, the power and influence of the Rockefeller family in repressing information concerning extraterrestrial life and technology would be significantly diminished. This would significantly accelerate the timing of official disclosure concerning extraterrestrial life. Most importantly, it would influence the way in which disclosure was made and thereby lead to the failure of efforts to present extraterrestrials as a new security threat justifying advanced space weapons or to stage a fake extraterrestrial invasion (see: http://exopolitics.org/Study- This would consequently lead to the release of suppressed technologies and alternative energy sources that are used by extraterrestrial civilizations. Extraterrestrial disclosure would prove very beneficial to Asian economies which have the bulk of the world's population and stand to benefit most from distribution of alternative energy sources. Just as the regular U.S. military is not happy with continued suppression of advanced extraterrestrial technologies (which is why so many military personnel have been safely able to come forward [see: http://www.disclosureproject. Furthermore, there appears to be a genuine split between North American and European branches of the Illuminati (elite banking families) over global depopulation policies. That makes for a powerful alliance of pro-disclosure interests that must greatly worry members of the increasingly isolated North American based Illuminati and Majestic-12 Group that has historically played a leading role in repressing information concerning extraterrestrial life and technology. Now, according to Fulford, the members of the Bush/Clinton Nazi crime family made a fatal error when they decided to attack Haiti with an earthquake weapon. An international hunt down and kill order has been issued against Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, George Bushes Senior and Junior and Lt. General P.K. Keen (in of relief efforts) among others, according to sources affiliated with various secret societies. This Nazi cabal sent a CIA agent to the Black Dragon Society to give forewarning of the attack. The agent talked about the Tsunami unleashed against Indonesia and said the oil companies won a war and nobody knew about it. Well, now everybody knows about it. The Japanese Yakuza now know the Kobe earthquake of 1995 was the result of a deliberate attack and they are eager for revenge. The people of Indonesia now know the tsunami was a deliberate attack and they know who ordered it. They are also eager for revenge. The Chinese now know the 1976 earthquake that killed 655,000 people was a deliberate attack and are eager for justice. The people of Haiti also know who attacked them and will also seek revenge. Etc. Etc. There is now nowhere on earth for these criminals to hide. It was not lost on the Black Dragon Society that the attack on Haiti came on the anniversary of the Kobe earthquake but the society has a policy of not responding to threats. If they think they are going to unleash a Tsunami against Tokyo and get away with it, they are truly insane. Meanwhile, new information about the Asian agents of the Federal Reserve Board can now be made public. The so-called Ming faction of the Chinese has in fact been thoroughly infiltrated, bribed and conned by the Federal Reserve Board faction led by David Rockefeller, Znigniew Brzezinski and George Soros. As always, these people reveal themselves through their actions. When it turned out the emperor returned empty-handed, there was much consternation in China. So, John, if you have any questions or comments, please advise.Eric J. Your op ed piece “The State of The Union… I am afraid” is courageous and it is true. --Garrett L. 'As Thomas Jef-ferson writes in the Dec-la-ra-tion, it is then the right of "the People to alter or abolish it" and form a new government.' There is definitely a need abroad to form a new government. This does not mean to write a new Constitution, but rather, to form a new government with the existing Constitution. Our present government is severely ill/damaged/broken beyond repair or recouperation and the two main political parties are clones of each other, unable to correct the many problems! It appears that you recognize this. I've been waiting for, hoping for the Lord to raise up a grassroots leader for a movement such as this, and believe this is what is being advocated by the Tea Party movement. I'm ready, as are many Americans Thank you for openly and publicly taking a stand! Sincerely, E. S. I consider myself a libertarian and I read your article with great interest and agree with your analysis of the issues that you addressed. I can say only that I was bothered by your reference to “the Creator” towards the end of the article. I am an atheist and I do not feel the need for a belief in a supernatural being to regulate my sense of right and wrong. I frankly resent the implication that religion must be the basis of ethical behavior. I believe in the right of religious people do hold their beliefs and I know that many are highly ethical people but unfortunately I know that a large number of religious people do not reciprocate this where non-religious people are concerned. Richard B . For God's sake either do something in real life-not on a page- or stop crying. Get a prescription or something. "Men" like you are why other countries know with certainty that America is destined for failure. America has been corrupt since it killed Mexicans and Indians. It has never stopped and will not stop until people either change or the country goes up in flames. For God's sake quit whining about it. You know the situation-do something or shut up-but-"I'm afraid"? Of what? What is new and different in society? Is corruption new to you? Are political lies new to you? If they are where have you been since grade school? No what's new is YOUR suffering. You feel like you are about to lose everything(and you are) and so what? Welcome to the world. Pull out a history book. Africa has ruled, Asia has ruled, what is now called the Middle East has ruled, Europe has ruled. Quit crying and accept the changes. The wheel always turns. You just have to lose everything to realize when you should have stood up and done something aside from cry in your journal. Good night America-You deserve everything you get. Lili Evans-Do feel free to print this oh spineless one. I just finished reading "The State of the Nation: I am afraid". This is so perfect, every line, every word speaks exactly what I know, think, and feel abut our nation today. it is a great feeling to find people who thing and understand "right and wrong" the way God intended it to be understood, not the way Washington D.C. views and legislates right and wrong. With the help of television news and immoral programming I've come to see people (including some Christians) start to accept this as the norm and to believe that iI've been asking this question to pastors and Christians: At what point do we as Christians draw the line in the sand that government can't cross? At what point do we gather together in numbers to stand on our side of that line? It was such a great feeling to read your ending line in the article: "As Thomas Jefferson writes in the Declaration, it is then the right of "the People to alter or abolish it" and form a new government"...... it answers my question. thank you! It took away my guilt of working against our government and made me realize... its my duty as a citizen, a father, a business owner, as an employer, and as a Christian. I love what you are doing at the Rutherford Institute, I will spread the word and help promote your cause and web site. God bless your works, Mark M. Mr. Whitehead, Although George Bush said it with malice, it instead pains me to acknowledge that he was correct. Our constitution has indeed become "just a G.D. piece of paper." I have seen example after example (including an eminent domain "taking" personally) of constitutional rights blatantly ignored. I have seen case after case of egregious police abuse of people and whenever there is an attempt to pursue civil charges, the lawyer's response is always the same: "I can't take the case because of a conflict of interest." The irony is that he is correct. Because he would be attacking the same corporation for which he works, he is compromised. As a consequence of this he rationalizes away the fact that law, truth and justice are supposed to be the primary "interests" of our judicial system. The root problem however is not the government. They are just a reflection of the people. It is the fact that nationally we have abandoned our Christian heritage. Consequently, and some would say appropriately, the State has become our god and the "hate thy neighbor theology" of socialism is our new national religion. The people truly are slaves, most don't even realize it and the vast majority of those few that do, are sitting around waiting for someone extricate them from their bondage. I fear also, because apostasy this advanced awaits judgment. But I am also encouraged knowing that this state of affairs is hardly honoring to the King of kings and will eventually be remedied. I have seen two instances of lex talion as well as other events that would indicate that there is something else at work in this country. It is my prayer that my children will see the turning. Daniel P. Your observations are most timely. I just watched a story by CNN which related how the Israeli government has been able to transport a complete field hospital half way around the world to Haiti. It is presently the only one operational there. Meanwhile, while injured Haitians are dying of their wounds, the US, only 650 miles away has been successful in flooding the island with armed military personnel. The situation certainly shows our priorities.--Bruce H. How Lucky It Is for Our Politicians That Americans Do Not Think John, Great article.we all need to be informed and come together in numbers to preserve our hard fought freedoms. -- Sincerely, George M Freedom, Liberty = independence from government oppression. It takes a search for wisdom in order to shape citizen independence within a structured society. The words freedom and liberty are often used to foster the baser --Charles F. Federal Religion Policy The Federal policy that no member of the federal government must disclose their religion is one of the major problems in America. I do not understand why religious organizations such as yours are not publicly attacking this policy. First, the policy is absurd on its face. If the public does not ever know what religion people in government exercise, how could they ever know whether religion is a problem in government? Second, the basis of the policy decision on separation of church and state is not in the Constitution at all. Third, how does the Department of Defense know how to man the Chaplain Corps? Fourth, the policy's real purpose may be to prevent the public from knowing how many Jewish people are working at our highest level of government. In the Clinton Administration, every job in the White House was held by a Jew. Half the Cabinet was Jewish, What did we get? Globalization moving our manufacturing overseas, and the beginning of derivatives which has nearly bankrupted the nation. Under the Bush Administration we got Jewish government executives leading the country into two wars for Israel and oil while the Jewish controlled media stood idle on the sidelines. Hundreds of thousands of people have died. We also got no 911 investigation, and the largest budget deficits in history. Now under the new President, with Jewish advisors, White House Chief of Staff, and Federal Reserve, the nation's finances are so bad, 273 Members of Congress are asking for an audit of the Federal Reserve. The media still silent on it all, even the President's birth records. This policy, in my view, must be turned around in short order, or Mr. Whitehead is soon going to move from being afraid, to being terrified.
